(Outfit Details: Cropped Top - Topshop, Levi Jeans - Brag Vintage, Shoes - Topshop, Hat - H&M)
Me and jeans have a very on and off relationship as they very rarely fit me, despite the various battles I have in changing rooms trying every single method to get them on (we've all been there). Because of this, I'm always on the hunt for jeans which would fit my small waist, big hips, short legs combo, since very few actually do. And when Topshop came out with the MOM jeans, there was something about that 90s fit I loved. The catch? I wanted them in black, and from past experience every pair of black jeans I've bought from Topshop have faded in a handful of washes. Not ideal. So, when I came across a website called Brag Vintage, I couldn't believe how many jeans, in all fits, brands, sizes, colours, they had. Oh, and did I mention, they are HALF the price of the Topshop ones - which is bargain if you ask me.
Anyways, I came across these tapered fit Levi jeans and I couldn't resist making an order. They're sold in both leg and waist sizes, which is perfect for me. Albeit they're a little tight (I think I've over done it on the cheesy chips) but they're proving valuable motivation.. I even ate an apple today - and I don't do healthy foods, haha. Seeing as these are only the second pair of jeans in my wardrobe, I was rather unsure how I'd style them (I'm much more of a swishy skirt and floaty blouse type of gal), however I love how this Topshop cropped top/jumper which I found recently in the sales pairs nicely. I decided on keeping the colour scheme quite basic, with this outfit heavily inspired by one of my favourite reads at the minute, Jazzabelle's Diary (that girl certainly knows have to rock a pair of jeans). And I think it's safe to say, once I'm able to fully button these jeans up (oops), it's going to be one of my go-to outfits.
What's your fail-safe pieces to wear with jeans?
Ps. Apologies if I look a bit pasty/panda-eyed in these photos, I'm feeling a bit under the weather at the minute, boo!
