(Outfit Details: Dress - Charity Shop, Cardigan - Primark, Bow - Topshop, Shoes - River Island)
Apologies for the rather photo-heavy post, but I've been a rather busy bee the last few days. With a trip to York and a local steam railway having been on the cards for a while, the past week has really been something I've looked forward to. I love little adventures out and about exploring new places, and boy have I loved it.
Yesterday, I visited the lovely city of York, which is a mere 90 minutes drive from where I live... that's of course if you forget about how we ended up driving at 20mph down the hard shoulder for most of the journey (it's not a day out with a broken down car, eh?) . I'm not sure why I don't visit there often, what with it's quaint streets and boutiques, needless the mention the massive amount of chocolate shops... yes really. Oh and of course the infamous Betty's, where I treat myself to a macaroon.. or three. It had to be done! I'm now already counting down the days until I next visit there, especially since I discovered the Mulberry Factory Store yesterday too - trip there for my 21st birthday? Yes please! Unfortunately I didn't take any outfit photographs that day due to it being rather hectic, and I freeze up taking outfit photographs in front of people, I don't know how you bloggers do it! But let's just say it involved my new favourite pair of tartan trousers, which will be making an appearance rather soon in a future post.
Today was spent at a local steam railway, which boasts being one of the oldest of it's kind. Set a little bit off the beaten track, we were greeted by an authentic steam train, complete with train conductors in costume and old-fashioned sweets. I decided on wearing this floaty dress, which I found last year in a charity shop. Again, it has that smock-like fit which we all know I love, which I paired it with my new cardigan. With it's daisy print reminding me of Prada's Spring/Summer '13 collection, I couldn't believe my eyes when I spotted it in Primark. And the boots, well, I am 110% in love with these bad boys that I bought last week whilst taking a visit to River Island. I'll admit it's not a shop I frequently visit, but I may or may not have (ok, I totally did) run to these, they're just perfect. And I don't think they've left my feet since. If it was appropriate to wear these to bed.. I so would.
What have you lovely lot been up to recently?
And I couldn't not mention this little cutie, Avalanche the Snowy Owl of whom I met yesterday at a local Birds of Prey centre (Owls are my favourite) - how adorable is his face?!
