Where have I been?

Edit 14 Edit 5 Edit 8

Remember me? Can you believe it's been a whole month (and a bit) since my last post, shameful...

I'm not even quite sure why I haven't blogged recently. Don't get me wrong, I've had plenty of post ideas and some I even drafted up, none of them just seemed right. Call it a bloggers identity crisis, I can't quite put my finger on it.

The last few weeks have been a bit of a weird one. Whilst I've been drowning in an abyss of university deadlines and work (which are nowhere near finished), I hit rock bottom. As you may know, I suffer with severe anxiety and panic attacks which has progressively got worse over this year after years of bearable symptoms. Anyways, one morning I woke up unable to leave the house, terrified to even move for a few days. It made physically ill, and things were generally a bit rubbish. I had take a step back from my life and take time out from everything around me; friends, family, everything. It gave me a chance to decide where I want to go and how I'm going to get there. Fast forward a few weeks I'm starting to feel a little better, thanks to CBT, and hopefully now on a very slow road to recovery. I can't promise I'll be back blogging all of the time just yet (purely as I'm super busy) but I thought I'd give you a little update as to why I've been quiet recently.

And in other news, I took a trip to the hairdressers today - new hair, new start and all that jazz. Six inches shorter, and after hearing the words "you could make a wig with all of this hair we've cut off", here we are. At first I was too scared to even look, but I can happily say I love it. Cue the badly lit (got to love the winter nights) photographs above. What do you think?

And while we're here, what are your favourite blogs/send me your links - I'm quest for inspiration!

(Also, hello to all of my new followers. When I first started this blog a little under a year ago my goal was to reach 500 followers and 50,000 page views - I'm happy to say that I achieved that a few weeks ago. So, thank you.)

  6. Darling, I love your new hairstyle! And don't worry about taking a hiatus from blogging-- I had to quit for two weeks in order to write three long papers! But it's nice to know that the end of the semester is done for me, and that you're feeling a bit better, so we can both go back to blogging!
