The Sunday Low-Down #2

Week 2

What I've been up to //

I'm going to be honest here and admit that the week didn't get to the best of starts. I feared a bit of an anxiety/depression relapse, and got myself into a bit of a bad place, barely leaving my bed from Saturday afternoon to Wednesday night which wasn't ideal. I always seem to get hit with summertime sadness, as boredom leads to me over thinking negative and anxious thoughts of not feeling good enough. I think it's pretty easy to fall into the trap of comparing your blog to others especially, and it's something I'm thinking of writing a post on (thoughts?).

However, I managed to pick myself up and by the end of the week felt like a different person. Summer finally arrived, and Newcastle was blessed with a number of sunny days - hooray! I headed out with Helen again on Thursday for more outfit photographs, which I'm really happy with - I think my blog is finally looking a little more like I want it to.

What has made me smile //

- Exploring my hometown and finding places I didn't know existed

- Finishing watching every episode of Gilmore Girls. The finale was a bit rubbish, but nothing beats that satisfaction of finishing a whole tv series. Am I right or am I right?

- Oreo ice-cream cookies. SO. GOOD.

- My next door neighbours new puppy called Monty. It's a little fluff ball and if it were appropriate to jump the fence to cuddle it, then I definitely would.

- My new ASOS hat. Yes, really.

- Managing to stick to my new blog schedule for the first week!

What I've been listening to //

- Young Rising Sons - High

- BASTILLE - Killer

- Fall Out Boy - Death Valley

- Jack's Mannequin - La La Lie

- The Academy Is… - Neighbours
