Outfit Details: Shirt – H&M, Skirt – Miss Selfridge, Sunglasses – Primark, Bag – Primark,
Neckerchief – Primark
Something I love to do at the weekends is travel to local historical sites/beauty spots with my family, so when I was recently contacted to talk about a place you’d recommend to someone visiting the North East of England, Cragside sprung into mind. About a 45 minute drive away from Newcastle, Cragside is a stunning house and gardens, with lakes, history and incredible scenery aplenty. It’s under the National Trust, which for young adults is only £2.50 a month membership – making it an absolute bargain, and the perfect location to visit on a sunny afternoon
. Yesterday graced us with clear blue skies and the most incredible sun, so I jumped at the chance of shooting some outfit photographs with this picturesque background, the photographs just don’t do the place justice!
Lens-flare aside, this outfit has quickly become my go-to. With a relaxed-fit shirt and this comfortable button up denim skirt, it’s practical and yet oh so easy to mix it up at little. As well as my trust skinny scarf, I picked up this neckerchief the other day at Primark and would seriously recommend it to anyone wanting to add that 70s flare to an outfit on a budget. I have a post coming up all about them and how I style them, but for this outfit, I thought it would look perfect around my neck – giving a little nod to the surroundings, whilst looking a little like a scout. We all know I have a thing for leopard print, but there’s a new print in town and I think it’s here to stay – the snakeskin. I was browsing my local Primark (you know, as you do) and I spotted this snakeskin, fringed backpack just sat on it’s own. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t quite sure whether someone had left theirs or something as it seemed a little too good to be true, but lo and behold I turned the corner and found a few others hiding away. Not even looking at the price tag (oops) I quickly ran to the till and it’s been on my back ever since. It has already stepped up to the title of my Autumn bag, I can’t wait to get styling it!
Have you ever visited Cragside? Where’s your favourite place to visit?
